Healthy Apple Pie Smoothie

It's time for apple pie this holiday season, but don't worry... this one is perfect for you and your health.

Yummy… apple pie! You don’t have to miss out this holiday because you can have this awesome smoothie. It might not be exactly the same but I know you’ll like it. Plus these ingredients have awesome health benefits for you.

Apple Pie Smoothie

  • 1 scoop S’moo (unflavored)
  • 2 small gala apples peeled and cored
  • 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 frozen bananas

Directions: Blend together until smooth!

Why do you want these ingredients in your diet? Here is why:

S’moo – all in one Hormone Balancing Supplement. Made to help women with hormonal imbalances such as PCOS, PMS, Endometriosis, Menopause and more to balance their hormones and feel their best selves again! Just one scoop a day is all you need.

Apples – This is a great fruit to add to any smoothie as it is high in fiber and water, helping you stay full longer. Several studies have linked eating apples to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes, not only that, they help promote heart health.

Greek Yogurt – Oh we have a whole blog on the benefits of yogurt! Check it out here.  The best thing to keep in mind is it is full of Calcium, Vitamins & Protein. It helps with your digestive health and builds your immune system.

Cinnamon – packed with antioxidants that protect your body from oxidative damage. As far as antioxidants go, cinnamon is the winner when compared to 26 other spices. It even outranked superfoods like garlic and oregano. It also has anti-inflammatory properties to help your body fight infections. I also learned something new about cinnamon, I had no idea it was the inner bark of a tree.

Banana – Baking or making a smoothie, banana’s add a creamy sweetness that can’t compare to anything else! Because its sugar content is balanced with fiber, it can help maintain a healthy blood glucose level, making it okay for people with diabetes to use. Fun fact: an unripe banana is mostly starch but as it ripens it turns into a natural sugar with potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C, Magnesium and more!
